Bahram Khozairy, born and raised in the Central Asian country of Iran, has been involved in martial arts for 32 years. He studied various forms of traditional Chinese martial arts starting 1976 in his Persian home city of Tehran, and after migrating to the U.S.A with his family in March of 1978, he finished his High School and attended the University in Southern Illinois. In 1985, he headed as a co-founder and the president of the Southern Illinois University Chinese Gung-Fu Club, where he also earned his degree the "Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering." At the same time in 1985, he got involved in Bruce Lee's arts of Jeet Kune Do - Jun Fan Gung Fu, and eventually in 1988 moved to Southern California in order to attend the IMB academy. In 1991 he became recognized as a "2nd generation certified instructor" in Jeet Kune Do - Jun Fan Gung Fu martial arts, under Bruce Lee's original student at the IMB Academy of Southern California, where Mr. Khozairy also served as a staff member and an apprentice instructor. He has also studied various arts through seminars and numerous workshops, under professional and notable authorities such as: Sifu Dan Inosanto (JKD/Jun Fan/Filipino martial arts); Rudy Terlinden (Pentjak-Silat); Dr. Andre KnustGraichen (Pentjak-Silat); Grand Master Ciriaco Cacoy Canete (Doce-Pares Escrima); Master Johny-Canote (Doce-Pares Escrima); and others in such systems as: Shoot Wrestling, Savate foot fighting, Lacoste Kali/Escrima, and the list goes on. Mr. Khozairy was also a former member of the original Jeet Kune Do Society. After years of study, research and development, Sifu Khozairy has finally liberated Bruce Lee's art of Jeet Kune Do - Jun Fan Gung Fu and has dispositioned it within his own personal apologetic based combative martial art and science of San Jieh Dao (SJD). San Jieh Dao (The Tri Fold Way), which is not only a revolution but also a reformation within the world of martial arts embodies the liberated Jeet Kune Do - Jun Fan Gung Fu. Sifu Khozairy has been very active in conducting martial arts demos, seminars and lectures. Presently he is actively on the pursuit of promoting his own martial arts of San Jieh Dao. He is the author of the book "Jeet Kune Do to San Jieh Dao, From Darkness To Light" and currently working on several classical volumes of books, many articles, audio tapes and video tapes regarding the combative San Jieh Dao. From 1992 until 1998, sifu Bahram Khozairy served as the chief instructor and the director of Khozairy Academy of Martial Arts & the International Academy Of JKD - Jun Fan (IAJJ). He now serves as the president of the International Academy Of San Jieh Dao (IASJD), the head quarter of his Tri-Fold Art of San Jieh Dao. |
